About Mikki Huss

Mikki has always enjoyed drawing and painting.  Her father bought her her first oil painting set and arranged lessons for her at the age of 12.

Mikki worked at Zippo Manufacturing Co. in the art department for a brief time before her marriage in 1967 to her husband Joe.  She didn't do much painting during the years they were raising their two children, Amy and Greg. Her interest was piqued again when her daughter introduced her to Pawleys Island, SC, art gallery owner and painter Karen Galleher in 2004, who was offering a painting workshop in a quaint seaside inn on the island.  Not only did the workshop rekindle her passion for art, but she established some very important friendships there that are still blossoming today.

Mikki loves painting people and enjoys creating seascapes and marsh scenes and an occasional still life.  She divides her time between Kirtland, OH, and Surfside Beach, SC,  with her husband, Joe.  Her grandchildren are amongst her favorite models.  Her paintings are for sale from this website and she is available for commission work.
