My Cuban Lady, a Beautiful Study

Presently, I am working on this wonderful study of a Cuban cigar lady that my friend, Joyce Davison, took on her trip to Cuba last year. I love this woman because she looks to me like she has a story. I think she may have had a stroke because of a droopy eye & a very swollen arm. I, also, noticed the money crumpled up in her hand. I'm sure she has quite a story to tell & am hoping my painting captures some of her colorful character.

The pics were taken at the Artbox Studio in Litchfield Exchange, Pawleys Island, SC. Jefri Chandler, is the owner and a very talented

artist, sculptress & framer. I love painting at her studio and her instruction is invaluable.
